Need to Trim the Hedges? Mow the Lawn?

Has anyone seen these commercials for Schick Quattro Trim Style for women? Its a not-so-fancy shaving gadget for people who want to handle their hair removal at home. The humorous marketing schtick is that, as the pretty girls walk and run by bushes and hedges, the bushes go from unruly and beastly to trimmed and neat looking.
Though I’m a true-believer in laser hair removal, the idea of better ways to do hair removal and grooming is great. I’m so happy that grooming is becoming more mainstream, but this method is just as wrong as the at home laser hair removal gadgets - albeit cheaper!
I haven’t yet tried this device since, as of last year, my bikini line has been permanently hair-free . . . but it seems to me that you could buy and use the gadget with some success, provided you took the time and effort to groom yourself in detail daily, replace the batteries when they become used, and purchase refill blades.
The issue, in my mind, would be that this form of shaving and body-hair upkeep, even using a new cutesy device, still has its downsides. Without constant upkeep, within 2 days after you shave and you have stubble and ingrown hairs. That’s the advantage with laser hair removal, permanent hair removal means you get smooth skin and you only have to make a one time investment in time and money, as opposed to newfangled razors that obligate you to a lifetime investment of time, energy and frustration.
