Hi Y’all,
There’s nothing like fall in New York City. The street-level food carts sell little brown bags of roasted chestnuts, you can wear cool cozy sweaters and Central Park looks more colorful and wonderful than ever.
I’m not exactly little miss nature lover, but I had a thought last weekend as I walked around the Park. Sheep’s Meadow, the great green expanse in Central Park has lost its green sheen and gained a technicolor rainbow of reds, oranges and yellows. The falling leaves reminded me of shaving . . .
Go with me here, I’m going for a metaphor…
The leaves fall off the trees like hair off your legs when you shave, but POOF!! Next week the hair’s back with a vengeance. Just like the leaves on the trees; just when you’re done raking them up, more will fall.
Almost a year ago, as costs came down and laser hair removal became cheaper, I lover of permanent hair removal with lasers, but when I was a teenager for lack of a better solution, I shaved my legs, bikini and underarms.
I thought about how no matter how you rake and pile up the leaves, more will fall. And no matter how thoroughly I shaved, more hairs would grow. In the case of the trees it’s a beautiful cycle that renews us and makes us happy to be alive. In the case of shaving, it’s an annoying reminder of the passage of time.
As a teenager I remember thinking that shaving was often bloody (oops! Another razor blade slip!) and annoying. And I would have to do it forever; after all, there were no options in the 1980s! I experimented with Nair (a stinky waste of money!) and waxing (too much pain for hardly any gain!).
There have been many advances in technology used for cosmetic surgery, but laser hair removal has come the farthest. What was once a painful, pricey, time-consuming method of hair removal is now the best way to completely remove unwanted hair. Forever.
So that’s what I thought about during my stroll in the park. It’s actually comforting to know that since I’ve lasered my body, I will never have to shave again… Ahhhh, now that’s a satisfying thought!
**Special note: The best time to start laser hair removal is in Autumn. Why? Because just as soon as you’ve completed your 5-7 sessions, it’ll be Springtime! New beginnings for the new smooth you!
Enjoy the fall!

Laser Hair Removal Treatments- A primer:
Laser hair removal is accomplished in a number of sessions commonly carried out once a month or every other month. The average number of sessions to accomplish more than 80 percent permanent hair reduction in 80- 90 percent of people is roughly 4 to 7 sessions.
In between these monthly sessions a few of the hair will regrow. Hairs that could have been dormant during your earlier laser hair removal session may now be active in the growth phase. This is where your requirement for several sessions arises. A few great sessions guarantees that all of the hairs are put through the treatment.
