I got a simple question from a reader that reminded me I might be over-estimating people’s knowledge of lasers.
I keep blogging about laser facials and how they improved my skin from the inside out and removed a few stubborn imperfections on my skin, etc. But I thought that now might be a great time for me to start from the beginning, a drop little knowledge here to help you find out if a laser facial is right for you… So here goes:
Lately, I’ve been covering New York Fashion Week, so I’m running around like mad!
Backstage at the Mackage fashion show bright and early on Thursday, I saw make-up artists run to the bathrooms with a model in one hand and a Gillette shaver in the other!! (true story!). I’ve heard that models sometimes show up to ‘hairy’ when they know the outfits they’re wearing aren’t showing skin… But how ridiculous!

I have a life, I swear! I don’t spend my nights reading scientific studies but this story was really interesting so I have to pass it on. It seems that a bunch of lab scientists have found that women’s understanding of the cost of personal care (including hair removal) is way off.
The study evaluated women’s beliefs and preferences on personal grooming and how they deal with unwanted body hair.
The majority of responders identified laser hair removal as the preferred choice for dealing with unwanted body hair. But only a tiny proportion of the women actually use it. Read more...
