Apparently after the wedding ceremony he lifted his new wife’s veil and saw her dark thick upper lip hair and beard. The groom claimed his mother-in-law tricked him into the marriage by showing him photographs of the bride’s less-hairy sister. And every time he met his bride in person she wore a face-covering naqib veil the whole time.
