Busting Laser Hair Removal Myths

I’ve heard people give every excuse in the book to avoid trying laser hair removal.

Although its not a new technology, its only recently become a “household name” as a technique for removing unwanted hair. Some people  apprehensive, and understandably so – I know I was. When my friend told me about lasering her under arms my eyes glazed over; I was not interested at all. When that same friend waited 20 minutes outside my house while I did some last minute leg and bikini shaving she put her foot down. “You HAVE to try laser hair removal. It’s easy and permanent. And I’m booking you a consultation.”

Hi Y’all,

As much as you’d love life if you woke up every morning looking smooth, bright and perky, you know that the truth is that it takes effort and energy to look great and groomed.  Do you spend ever increasing amounts of time in the mirror plucking and tweezing newly minted facial hairs? I do.

I used to have a downy light brown duvet on my upper lip. It wasn’t very apparent in the summer (the sun took care of bleaching it out, or so I told myself). In the winter as I would get pale, the hairs seemed to multiply and appear darker. Of course, eventually I discovered

Laser Hair Removal Frequently Asked Questions

This question comes from Tin998 via Yahoo! Answers:

Question:

Ok, I have an appointment Friday for some laser hair removal. Am I supposed to shave my legs like normal, or am I supposed to leave some stubble so the laser has something to zap at. I don’t want to show up unprepared either way. Thanks for the help!

To learn a little about how your brain works, look at the animation below. Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or counter-clockwise. You may think that it is clear that she is turning only one way. It turns out, however, that different people have different perceptions of the direction of her spin.

If you see her turning clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain, and vice-versa. You can also try to concentrate and make the dancer spin other way around just by using your brain! Seriously.

So, by now, you’re interested in laser hair removal, but you’re somewhat uncertain of what questions to ask during your telephone or in-person consultation.  Let’s now apply
