A Laser Facial? Hmm . . . I’ll Have to Think About It . . .

Hi Y’all,

I’ve blogged about my love of (and possible addiction to) laser hair removal and mocked those who who are still too scared to try it (you know who you are!).  This post isn’t about hair removal though, it’s about laser facials (a more effective version of the photofacial).

facial A Laser Facial? Hmm . . . Ill Have to Think About It . . .A few months ago, when I went in for my last hair removal treatment on my legs, my laser specialist Liz B. asked if I wanted to try a laser facial. “Um… Maybe next time. I mean, sure. I think…” That was my not-so-subtle answer.

The truth is that I have no fear of lasers when it comes to hair removal but to have my face lasered… I needed some convincing, if you were in my shoes, and I know some of you are, so would you!

“It’s the best thing for the skin on your face, you’ll come out looking like a million bucks,” Liz, said. “You put your face out there every day, in the sun, wind and pollution and all you do at night is cleanse and moisturize? Don’t you think you need to do something better for yourself?”

I have to admit, after a summer of sun-worshiping I’m not feeling like my skin is looking as good as it did before… So I did some research, and here’s what I learned:  it seems that laser facials repair collagen and gently erase even the first signs of aging. And after a laser facial I can continue with my day since I’ll only come out looking flushed, which not a bad thing!

I took the dive, and booked and appointment for a laser facial at Assara.

STOP THE PRESSES!

I just got back home and I’m seeing better results than I could have imagined. Everything that bothered me about my face, including the TINY fine lines, a couple pimple scars and a few enlarged pores on my nose are all pretty much gone. The treatment was actually really calming and chilled out. It felt sort of like tanning, all warm and relaxing and it only took a half hour.

I’m pretty much sold on this laser facial thing… But I’m going to do a few more in the coming weeks to see if I can get even more results. I’m also going to send some friends in as test-dummies…

So is there anything lasers can’t do? Hair removal? Yes. Make my face look young and poreless? Yes. Find me a boyfriend? Hmmm… they might have to keep working on that one…

Cheers Readers,
