More on My Experiences with Laser Facials and Microdermabraision!

Hey Y’all,

I’m back from my long weekend in Miami… Ahhhh… Reee-laxation! I seriously suggest ya’ll do some price-watching and pounce on any cheap seats to Florida. Spending quality pool time is just what everyone needs before the winter. And a stroll in South Beach to check out the chic boutique hotels also helps boost pre-fall morale!

So, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror this morning — who am I kidding, I was doing a full body examination! — and I have to say my skin is looking better than ever and I owe it to my laser facial (a better version of the”photo facial”) and microdermabrasion sessions at Assara Laser.

I’ve been reading up on laser facials and it seems the best way to sum up the results of microdermabrasion and laser facials is that they is to ‘correct and combat the signs of aging’. So you’re probably wondering why a 27 year-old gal want a laser facial (even if her name is Laser Gal). We all know that the first part of your body to show any sign of age (however small) is your face. Have you seen those un-airbrushed pics of Kate Moss? So sad: her body is lithe and smooth while her face is pruny, wrinkled.  Yikes!!

I’d be delusional if I said the aging process hasn’t started on me yet. And unless you’re under 25, I bet you’ve noticed (and promptly ignored!) some tiny fine lines on your face. After years of sun worshiping, not taking proper care of my face a laser facial was long overdue I my case.

What I wanted was for my skin to look clearer, smoother and more even. I got it. I also wanted my (tiny) sun spots and crows-feet to fade. They did. My laser specialist told me that the laser actually dissolves and destroys dark spots caused by clusters of skin cells where melanin cells have over-accumulated. The science behind lasers goes a little over my head, but the bottom line for me is that I see results. Great results. I feel amazing. They say best results are achieved after a couple sessions, so I’ll be going back. Laser me up Baby!

I’d love to hear your experiences with laser hair removal, laser facials, and laser spider vein removal as well.  Also, have you tried microdermabrasion?  What was your experience?
