“Glamour: Tweezing Nipple Hairs Is The New ‘Do’”
Hi Everyone!
I came across the title of this post in Jezebel yesterday. Check out the headline in the bottom right-hand corner!
I don’t think there’s any woman out there who wouldn’t want to be hair-free on her legs and underarms. Those are obvious and socially acceptable areas to be hair free… getting permanent laser hair removal on these areas is a no-brainer… But what about the more private and unusual body parts that grow hair? If hair happens to grow in odd or unwanted places don’t you deserve to have them hair free too?
I thought about this yesterday when my friend confessed that she had hair growing on her nipples. And last summer (I’ll always remember this!) my friend who had just had a nose job, asked me if it was possible to laser the inside of her nostrils. And what about my metrosexual friend Rolland who asked about removing hair you know, down back there…
The answer to all these questions is YES, you can and should remove unwanted hair from all these areas. You might be able to get away with plucking and waxing these areas, but the pain, annoyance and embarrassment isn’t something you want to do every 3 weeks! You need a permanent solution.
That’s why lasering is the best option for these more private body parts. You need to make sure your laser technician is sensitive and knowledgeable. You have to feel comfortable telling him/her that you want your butt or nipples lasered.
My friend confessed that when she went to the spa and asked the aesthetician to wax her nipples she swore the lady muffled a laugh. How annoying. And my friend Rolland, well, he never got the nerve to do anything about his ‘bum hair’ but I’m trying to convince him that it’s not as taboo as he thinks.
Grooming is a good thing! And a good laser tech will act professionally no matter what you ask them to do. They are trained to laser everywhere, not just legs and underarms!
So step away from the tweezers and say goodbye to your waxing lady. And don’t be shy to ask for what you want. This advice will serve you well in more places than your laser center!
Have a great day!
xx Laser Gal
