What better time to curl up with a stack of magazines and drink one of those new Starbucks Via instant coffees. Have y’all tried them? I like instant coffee anyway, so you could say it’s no big surprise that I like Via, but this is some serious instant coffee. Anyway, enough with the free plugs for Starbucks…

Let’s get back to my stack of magazines. I love seeing all the retouched pictures of celebrities and reading the pathetically phony denials of plastic surgery. So I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my Harper’s Bazaar and read this quote about lasers from the always hilarious and adorable Tina Fey.

“You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don’t think Botox is for me. I think it is bad.” In other words, Tina isn’t afraid of lasers!

Of course, Fey, who’s 39 years-old, looks fresh and adorable on the cover of Harper’s, but you could chalk that up to hours of creative photoshop. But I’ve actually seen Tina in person and I can vouch for her looking really great. Yeah, she’s pretty and petite, but what I’m talking about is her skin, which I got to see with my own eyes.

True story: I was walking by Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan where her show 30 Rock was filming a scene outside. I rubber necked it and got a glimpse of the pint-sized comedienne. She’s actually stunning, and looking nothing like what you imagine 39 looks like.

laser facials and laser skin rejuvenation to diffuse redness, make your skin look more even and smooth out fine line wrinkles. So she knows it, I know it, now what about y’all?

Enjoy the rest of the day!

xxx

Laser Gal

The Truth About Cosmetic Enhancements and Looking Good (Part II)

Celebrities and Laser Hair Removal

celebrity laser hair removal

kim kardashian

laser hair removal burns

Kim Kardashian

She’s come out saying she has cellulite. I think all women breathed a sigh of relief when, on The View, she looked amazing and proclaimed: “I have cellulite, All women do, it’s not a big deal!” She said as Whoopie, Joy and Barbara stared in shock at her candid comment.

Kardashian and her sisters also went for laser hair removal on an episode of their reality show. That was so cool, I think it was the first time I saw a celebrity doing laser… I was watching the show with my friend Shelly, and I was like, see! It’s not dangerous and she does it!

We don’t like to admit how much we’re influenced by celebs and their habits, but when we learn some of their beauty secrets, we gotta try them (especially if they’re safe and not too pricey).

I’m off to do a Good Morning Readers!

It occurred to me that some people have a completely unwarranted fear of lasers . . . I guess we’re trained from watching Star Wars and Transformers to think that lasers are designed to “destroy evil” or “annihilate the enemy” or what ever they say . . .

"Knowing is Half The Battle"

Most lasers are used for amazing simple and beneficial things like hair removal (my favorite!), restoring vision, rejuvenating skin, nuclear fusion (!), dental procedures and even reading barcodes at the cash register . . . All good things . . . Yet there’s still this irrational fear out there . . .

Exhibit A: Jeaninethe winner of So You Think You Can Dance was recently on Regis & Kelly and admitted that despite needing to be almost completely hairless because of the skimpy dance costumes, she was still a slave to the razor and shaving cream! “I’m scared of those lasers,” she said.

WHAT?!?!

laser hair removal has become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures on the market. It’s because it’s simple, safe, virtually pain free and permanent. The lasers used are customized to be tolerable for your specific skin and hair follicles, so you get the best results from every treatment. The truth is that if you go to a reputed laser center, laser hair removal is totally safe and there is a virtually non-existent risk of complications.

That’s the truth and if more men and women would just stop being irrationally afraid they could get stop feeling self-conscious about their hair and stop shaving and stop ingrown hairs… All it takes is some lasering… Completely safe lasering!

That’s all for now, I’m off to <a
